Rilind, from Enfield, is currently receiving treatment for leukaemia at Great Ormond Street Hospital in London.

And so The Dream Factory founder Avril Mills along with Jan Flawn CBE, whose company PJ Care sponsored the dream, paid him a surprise visit to present him with his 'dream' gift.

Avril said: "The Dream Factory is delighted to have been able to make Rilind's dream come true and it was a pleasure to see his face when he opened the gift.

"Reaching 400 dreams is a real milestone for the charity and we couldn't continue to make these dreams come true without the continued support of our supporters who raise money and support our events, and our 'Dream Makers' who work tirelessly to bring the dreams to reality."

Miss Mills added: "We currently have 12 'dreams' in progress and 15 on a waiting list and so our work goes on to bring more smiles to children and young adults with life-limiting conditions."

Rilind's mother, Maria, said: "I am so grateful to The Dream Factory for making Rilind's wish come true. He smiled when he received his X-Box and it was also his 9th birthday that day so it was a lovely surprise."

Miss Mills established the Dream Factory following the death of her son, Oliver, aged nine.

She said: "Oliver died from leukaemia at Great Ormond Street hospital so it was a very emotional day for me but I was delighted to be able to make it a happy day for Rilind."
