New kitchen tool set to reduce food waste

PJ Care is investing in an award-winning kitchen management tool that will help reduce food waste and reduce the company’s carbon footprint. Festive music and singing  

The merry music and singing filled the air of our PJ Care homes this festive season with residents and families enjoying a feast of sing-a-long sessions with staff and visiting entertainers.  The celebrations included a Christmas tunes and dancing session at Bluebirds with Amanda Seal, Christmas carols with Wendy, and Kaley’s Christmas sing-along. Light colour therapy – Residents experience the joy of colour at PJ Care

Residents have been experiencing the positive impact of light colour therapy in the PJ Care units. (see colour therapy pictures)  Colour therapy, also known as chromotherapy, incorporates colour whether through lights, imagery or colouring activity. The value of dementia support for families

Partners and families shared a valuable and reassuring day of mutual experiences and support at a special mini-conference on dementia. After meeting at PJ Care’s Bluebirds unit relatives shared their contact details and set-up Whatsapp groups to continue to offer each other practical and emotional support. Baby boom

It was a gathering bursting with smiles and the celebration of life as mums and babies from the Mallard unit gathered. The event highlighted something ‘in the air’ at the center as a total of 14 babies were born to Mallard unit staff within 12 months.
