Recruitment Officer

PJ Care are neurological care specialists who have four sites based around Milton Keynes and Peterborough, with plans to expand to Bedford in the next two years. 

We currently employ around 480 people and provide care services to up to 180 residents. We have a very diverse workforce.

We are looking for a Recruitment Officer to take the lead on developing and delivering recruitment plans ensuring the organisation is effectively resourced with appropriately qualified employees, demonstrating our values of compassion, commitment and care in all units and on all sites.

You will manage the recruitment process, identifying vacancies with Managers, preparing advertising for direct internal and external recruitment and liaising with approved agencies to find candidates for difficult to fill positions. You will arrange for selected candidates to be interviewed by the relevant Managers and you will maintain effective records.  You will have some administrative support and work as part of a small but friendly team, reporting to the General Manager for Organisational Development. You may be required to liaise with our Marketing team to arrange and attend job shows and other PR events where appropriate.

You will ideally have experience working in or with the health or social care sector and understand the legal requirements of recruiting staff at all levels, both in terms of relevant right to work legislation and the professional registration requirements required for clinical posts (such as NMC PIN for nurses). You will be articulate and literate and a CIPD or HR/Recruitment qualification would be preferable.

Whilst offices are provided in both Milton Keynes and Peterborough, the successful candidate must be prepared to be flexible about location, travelling between all sites wherever the need is greatest. You should be outgoing, presenting a positive image for the Company at all times – prepared to network in the local areas in order to gain sector contacts and occasionally take part in charity and social events. You will need a full driving licence and access to your own vehicle.
