Registered nurse Charlotte Little and gardener Ken Speed were winners at the Great British National Care Awards last week in Birmingham, and were presented with their prizes by the UK’s leading compere Steve Walls .
Both work for Milton Keynes company PJ Care, which has two specialist neurological care centres in the city – Bluebirds in Shenley Lodge and Mallard House in Grange Farm.

Charlotte started working for PJ Care in 2013 and is Lead Nurse at Mallard House, she was also recently awarded Nurse of the Year at the company’s own award ceremony.
Charlotte joined PJ Care as a registered nurse but her knowledge, energy and enthusiasm were soon recognised by her managers and she was promoted to Lead Nurse, leading a team providing care for people with progressive neurological disorders.
