Eagle Wood, Peterborough

Eagle Wood, our new neurological care campus is coming soon at the Oak Tree site, Bretton Way, Peterborough.

Groundwork on our new neurological care campus officially began at the Oak Tree site on February 10, 2011. The care campus will employ up to 180 people and we anticipate over 90% of these people will be from in and around Peterborough.

When completed, the development will provide care for 107 residents in 4 separate units. It will also have a therapy centre complete with gymnasium, hydrotherapy pool, occupational therapy kitchen and a coffee dock. 37 assisted living units will also be developed.

A strong experienced healthcare project team is in place, with PRC as architects, Castleoak Construction as developers and Kirby & Diamond as employer’s agent.

The Rt Hon Keith Sharp, Mayor of Peterborough, and other dignitaries from Peterborough Council attended the ground breaking ceremony, as well as representatives from Oxford Archaeology and our senior management.

Mayor Sharp commented: "We are delighted to welcome PJ Care Ltd to Peterborough. In addition to bringing 180 new jobs, their new hydrotherapy pool will be a major benefit to our local community".

Paul Moran, our CEO added: "It’s great to get started and see the vision becoming a reality.  We are really looking forward to welcoming our first residents in Spring 2012."
