Visitor's Policy

Visitors are always very welcome, either by appointment or unannounced, day or night. If food and accommodation is required, we ask you to give us some notice to allow us to prepare. We do ask our visitors to observe some rules, so please familiarise yourself with the policy as detailed below.

All our visitors are required to sign in using the Visitor’s Book and also sign out on departure.

All visitors are issued with visitor passes. During normal working hours, these will be issued by the Home Administrator or Reception staff and at all other times, they will be issued by the Nurse in Charge. Visitor passes must remain with the visitor at all times and are not transferable and must be returned to the Nurse in Charge upon departure.

Relatives may be issued with long term passes. However, you must still sign in and out on every visit. The issuing of these passes will be co-ordinated by the relevant Unit Manager.

Health and Safety information is provided on the reverse of each pass. You should familiarise yourself with these details before proceeding with your visit.

No unauthorised visitors are allowed access to any part of the nursing home.

Relatives and friends of residents may visit at any time. When residents are unwell or terminally ill, the Next of Kin/close relatives may stay overnight where possible. This must be agreed with the Unit Manager, who will ensure that the visitors’ personal needs are looked after.

Children are welcome to visit the nursing home with the permission of the Unit Manager and must remain with their parents at all times.

Pets are also welcome with the permission of the Unit Manager and must remain with their owners at all times.
