PJ Care's Day Opportunities Centre in Bletchley, Milton Keynes is a fantastic facility offering activities for people with physical and learning difficulties in a safe and secure environment.

We offer a facility within Milton Keynes that provides Day Opportunities in a safe and relaxed atmosphere promoting independence and individuality.

You can choose from a range of tailored activities, healthy living advice, personal care and to top it all off we can also offer good company at all of our sessions.

Existing resources include an accessible kitchen, craft area’s, relaxation area, gym area, Physiotherapy area, Occupational Therapy area, massage and aromatherapy area, computer and internet access and garden area.

Who can use our Day Opportunities Centre?

Our Day Opportunities Centre is in Bletchley, Milton Keynes and can be used by anyone aged 18-65 with the following:

  • Physical Disabilities / Sensory Loss
  • Learning Disabilities
  • Mental Health problems
  • Neurological conditions such as Brain Injury,
    Parkinson’s Disease, Spinal Cord Injury, Stroke, Multiple Sclerosis,
    Huntington’s Disease, MND, PSP, MSA, Muscular Dystrophy, Early onset Dementia
    and Picks disease.

PJ Care are a preferred supplier and have a contractual agreement with Milton Keynes Council to provide these services which means that you may be able to access our services via public funding.

What can you do?

There are many different activities at our Day Opportunities Centre for you to choose from. They are grouped into the following sessions:

  • Wheelchair exercise / able bodied exercise
  • Personal care, eg. showering
  • Re-enablement
  • Promotion of independence
  • Table tennis
  • Activities of daily living
  • Healthy eating
  • Laundry option
  • Cooking

Social Activity and Stimulation

  • Arts and Crafts
  • discussion groups
  • Demonstrations, eg. florestry / cookery
  • Quiz / bingo

  • Group Games, eg. ball games / beetle drive

"Can do days"

For those special occasions we can assist and support the following (Please note there may be an additional cost for "Can do days"):

  • Spa Day
  • Skiing
  • Driving a motor boat
  • Passenger in a rally car

We also offer off site activities including (Please note there may be an additional cost for off site activities):

Do you offer any other support Activities?

Yes, we also offer life skills, eg. Counselling, anxiety management, stress management as well as care respite and support to enable carers to have a break or to offer them information and advice.

When are you open?

We are open Monday to Friday 9.00am to 5.00pm

How accessible are your facilities and what other facilities do you offer?

The building is fully accessible with ramps, level access, disabled toilet facilities, flat floor shower, designated disabled parking, personal support where required.
 
Refreshments are available throughout the day with no charge as they are included in the sessional fee. All diets can be catered for including textured or modified diets. PEG feed’s can be accommodated.

Can you help me to arrange transport?

Transport is not included but we can provide assistance to arrange transport with a local taxi company.
